Looking at various points to research into what sort of changes we could make to the DAC was the clear start to the process. As a big group of all of us that signed up to do the drpG brief, we spit-balled ideas around with the aim to look more into each of them.
We came up with:
– LCD Screens
– Projection Mapping
– Optical Illusions
– Colour Palettes
– Greenery/Plants
– Possible sounds to be used? Open Days?
– Art pieces in corners
– Neon lighting?
– Projections?
– Tech theme
– Lasers? (safety, look at intensity)
The one theme that I would like to explore more with Optical Illusions as I believe that would be a very creative and intriguing way. Optical illusions are used as ways to take people out of reality as it changes our own. This is because it doesn’t quite sit right with our human brains or perception. This can be used to great effect to explain what the Digital Art Centre is and what it stands for by drawing in passers-by.
